Legally, we can't say "White folks can't come." And “BIPOC ONLY” could mean different things to different people. What we can say is this event is open exclusively to folks who are on the spectrum of melanin livin' every day fully aware that they are not white.
VIPs are people who have camped with us for one or more years. You know who you are - y’all get priority reservation.
We don’t judge, but we do have clear boundaries to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
This is a family event. Sometimes family can be dramatic. We ask that you take that theater for a hike or cool it down by the river.
If it’s legal and follows park rules it is permitted, but we respectfully ask everybody to keep the over 21 activities “over there” - away from the young ones.
Yep. There is no fee to camp. The only cost is your camping gear, food and water and whatever else you might want for the comfort and joy of you and your family. We have a lil’ library of gear - tents and sleeping bags - available as needed.
We understand life happens and you may have to cancel your booking. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can open up space for those on the waiting list.
This means there is no wi-fi, no electricity, and sketchy cell service.
There are bathrooms and water for washing, (it is advisable that you bring your own bottled water for drinking.)
We usually camp Memorial Day Weekend when the weather is still kinda cold and sometimes wet. This year we booked Labor Day Weekend, so it will likely be hot and dry which means we can fully enjoy the river! If you want to bring your tubes to float, be sure you sign that release on the registration form - and wear life jackets! There may be also be a fire ban; if so, no s’mores this year.
